We take immense pleasure to present the Annual report of our school to apprise you all, how the Mission and Philosophy of the San Academy Group of schools have materialized positively in the day to day working and through the voyage of the discovery of excellence in the field of education. There have been many changes in the School this year in terms of high expectations, communication, behavioral management, professional development, technology, and above all, academics. Teachers worked together in various training sessions to align their curriculum to cater to the educational needs of the students. This vertical alignment will assure that students are learning all that they should, as they progress through our academic program. The academic year began with an orientation programme which was conducted for the parents to help them decipher the School’s philosophy, curriculum, pedagogy and protocols, in accordance with the rules governed by the CBSE.
Morning assemblies are all about scholars and mentors coming together to start the day. Assemblies are an important feature of School’s routine. They form a significant part of the school’s curriculum by creating a positive, reflective ethos and promoting value-based education. They powerfully nurture the development of intrapersonal intelligence. Each class takes turn to present assembly based on a theme identified for the week like national and religious festivals, special days like world health day, Quit India Day, Youth Skill Day to name a few. Such gathering of mentors and scholars is paramount for a collective interaction in a formal setting.

Representing interdisciplinary approaches to learning, the carefully selected activities of the clubs, focus on the entire gamut of development of learners in a cohesive manner. Every space inside and outside the school, then, becomes a platform where multifold learning experiences can be garnered to support learning in all directions.

Creative and Hobby club hosted a variety of activities like candle holder making from discarded card board boxes, creative mask making, paper origamy to name a few that provided a creative outlet to the students.
Sports club conducted lot of indoor and outdoor games to cater to the kinesthetic skills of the students. This year, the school has launched two new clubs- science and technology club and eco club.
Science and technology club provided a platform for the students to learn about the importance of stream line bodies, making of an electric circuit and more. Eco club’s initiative to facilitate the students to learn the techniques of bonsai making was coupled with a field trip to a bonsai park.
The students of Eco club also encouraged each class in the school to adopt an indoor plant in their class room.

There's a different way of training fast bowlers, spin bowlers, batsmen, wicketkeepers and all-rounder’s."This is because each specialty in the game utilizes a totally different set of muscles and movements. Hence special training is given to students in this game to open up new arenas to the young athletes.

The importance of health, personal hygiene, nutrition, physical fitness, etc is reiterated through several classroom activities throughout the year. A comprehensive medical inspection by a team of specialists is organized every year. Every student of San Academy undergoes health check-up once in a year by the doctors from reputed hospitals. School health programmes are said to be one of the most efficient strategies that a nation might use to prevent major health and social problems. Next to the family, schools are the major institution for providing the instruction and experiences that prepare young people for their roles as healthy, productive adults.
Keeping this in mind we at San Academy initiated a planet nutrition programme which is designed to help the students to improve not only in academics but also in their health. It focuses on learning about nutrition and physical activity, understanding how health behaviours are interrelated ,choosing healthy foods, increasing physical activity, limiting TV and other screen time.

Workshops provide exceptional learning opportunities. Using the interactive format, they help the learners to explore topics ranging from personal enrichment, life transition to gain practical skills. Taking learning beyond the bounds of curriculum, workshops also help the students to know about the varied educational / career opportunities available to them. So, while enriching the learning experience, workshops also empower students to make informed decisions regarding their future.
This year students have attended health awareness workshops about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene. Anxious students are more likely to find academics a challenge . Workshops on stress management were organized to help the students to fight back or respond optimistically.
The career guidance workshop for students provided a broad overview of the numerous career options available in every stream, with an introduction to career planning. The inter-active workshop assisted the students to identify career options and appropriate higher education routes for each, that would enable them to determine the steps they need to take to equip themselves to choose and face the world of work.
Teaching is an ongoing learning process. Staying updated is the key to success in any field, especially in the field of education. The teachers of the School participated in numerous programmes like Science and Mathematics awareness workshop highlighting on techniques and benefits of activity based teaching at primary as well as middle school level. The increase in teaching of English to young learners had led to growing demand for assessment. Cambridge English: Young Learners programme, also known as Young Learners English Tests (YLE) is a new initiative undertaken by the teachers’ of English. It is a suite of English language examinations specially designed for children in primary and lower-secondary school. The tests are provided by Cambridge English Language Assessment
Parents may have to deal with only one or two children, but teachers have many more in the classroom. The situation is more testing and stressful. They have to manage students with varying behavior and different learning levels. To handle this, teachers need to be well equipped and center themselves to manage the same. To cater to this requirement, our school had organized meditation workshop for teachers. Teachers of San Academy keep themselves updated about the various developments in the CBSE board by attending workshops organized by the board. This serves as a good platform to address some academic issues that support the stake holders to get deeper understanding on subjects and concepts.
Although English language doesn’t have the largest number of native speakers in the world, it has the widest reach of any language spoken today. Both native and second-language speakers of English are found on every continent, and English has become the lingua franca in many fields.
