Celebrating events and festivals in schools is an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. Children will remember an important day only if they are told what the occasion signify, making them aware of the world in a more fun way.
SAN KKN students are encouraged to participate in various activities and celebrations throughout the academic year. The Celebration days include Subject, Thematic, Language, Concept Introduction and Regional Festival. These celebrations will help the children to understand the Educational, Psychological, Social, Civic, Recreational and Cultural Values. Different competitions are conducted to commemorate the events.
Being a diverse country, the students need to know what each festival means, and it is only through this celebration, he/she will get to know more about our country. Some festivals celebrated in our school are: Pongal, Diwali, Christmas and New year, Ramzan,Tamil New Year, All Faith Prayer, Krishna Jayathi, Gandhi Jayanthi,Children’s Day, Republic Day, Independence Day and so on. Apart from building relationship and friendship, such celebration will bring happiness and love amongst the students.
