San Academy Tambaram gives its students a platform to explore and excavate their talents. Children are given an abyss of opportunities to exhibit their skills, keeping this in mind students of Grade 1 and 2 organized culminating activity in the month October and March for the academic year 2019-20. Culminating activity creates camaraderie among students and helps them to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The program started with an enthralling welcome speech and an uproar of excitement lured the juniors into the bliss and extravaganza. The stage was set and our young guns were all ready to lock, stock and barrel! In succession to this, children from Grade 1 and 2 executed an action song, it was indeed nostalgic to see children perform as they looked vibrant and scintillating. Posters and pin ups were strewn all over to give it an appealing look. The program was at its swing, when children enlightened the audience with fun facts.

To keep the momentum going, children were all primed to set the stage on fire, they were dressed typical to that of their theme. “Extinct and Endangered Animal” parade by grade 1 and “Plant Products” parade by grade 2 were executed with full exhilaration. As they were prancing the stage completely swayed by its theme, parents were delighted to see their little ones perform and speak confidently. As the event was overflowing with activity and zing, kids were all ready to masquerade and delineate a skit on “Sid – The seed story”, Skit on ‘healthy lifestyle ’The story of hungry caterpillar, fashion walk on Solar system was performed by grade 1 and “Amazon on fire”, Fashion walk onlandforms , conversation on scientific inventions and action song on road safety, by grade 2. Children spoke their hearts out on stage and the level of involvement was evident. It was a rollicking performance endowed with ripples of fun.

Learning is Fun! Keeping this in mind, students were all ready to unleash their knowledge and exhibit their learning through activity corner.As children moved from stall to stall with their parents trying their luck and winning candy for every successful attempt, confidence exhibited by children was par excellence and praise worthy.

Like all good things, this day too ended with a vote of thanks to parents, our enthusiastic children and hard-working teachers. San Academy Tambaram is the breeding ground for support, motivation, encouragement, and integrity. Hence, there is more reason to become a San Academy Tambaram student.

Silambam grading ceremony was conducted on 15th Feb 2019, at the school premises the students showcased their talent in Silambam. As the saying goes, we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore is not an action but a habit. , the students of SAN Academy are trained in martial arts which helps them to be ready to face the challenges before them.

Karate Belt grading ceremony was conducted on 22nd Feb 2019 at the school premises. This was a much awaited event by the students, as they were honoured with the respective belt that they can proudly hold as the fruitful gain of all their efforts they had taken for train themselves in this martial art. This event was organised in a well-mannered way and the students were bestowed upon with certificate and belt.

Extracurricular activities are a great platform for kids to focus on their strengths and passions without pressure of tests and other demands. These activities can build up a child’s confidence.

An Extracurricular activity is a good chance for kids to socialize in a more relaxed environment. And they get to meet kids with the same interest.

At SAN Academy Tambaram we focus on holistic development of children and tap their inherent talents. We give lot of opportunities to the students to participate in various competitions and we are proud to say that SAN stars have always come out with flying colours and have made all of us proud.

Republic day

Republic day is celebrated throughout India on 26th January. The students of San Academy took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The day started with flag hoisting, the students saluted the National flag and pledged to up hold the honour and integrity. Sr.KG children sang patriotic song, our tiny tots of Nursery walked the parade dressed up as National leaders. Children danced to patriotic music and we also had inspiring speech by students. The celebration came to an end by a small speech by Aparna mam and singing the National anthem. Children decorated Republic day cards and Tricolour badges.

PEACE RALLY: 27.1.2020

(15oth birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi 27.1.2020)

Peace rally was conducted on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

Children took a detour around the campus. An oath was taken on Gandhi’s principles on peace. Posters and banners were used during the rally.

Fitness weekemary

To emphasize the importance of fitness, various activities were conducted from 12th to 19th of November. The activities conducted were Yoga, Free hand exercise, poster making competition, Martial arts display, essay writing on ‘Fit India School’ and indigenous games.

As we plunged into the Library Week Celebration at San Academy Tambaram, 25th of November shone a spotlight on the thrill of stories the children had been reading in their academic year.Library week celebration intends to invoke the importance of reading and enhance language acquisition, communication and sharing information and ideas. The joy of reading was experienced throughout the Primary schoolas children from grade 4 ,5 and 6 brought their favourite books from home to share and read. This was an efficacious way to stir up the intellectual curiosity of every child.

Apart from this there were story telling sessions held for grade 3 and 4. A beautiful way to learn and express themselves!It provokes literacy skills and ignites the inner story that is within each child. The ability to be descriptive is not something that everyone is good at naturally. This trait needs to be nurtured gently at a very young age.At San Academy Tambaram children are buoyed up to read their favourite book from the library every week, this method aids in grooming a child’s word building and speaking skills, not to mention, the fun it entails.

Bookmarks were made by grade 1 students and they were at their best to showcase their creativity and talent. Other activities like word puzzles and essay writing were also well depicted. The skill that was nestled in children found its way through this celebration.
