Father’s Day was celebrated to honour and recognize the contribution that fathers make to the lives of their children. We invited all the proud fathers of our nursery students to celebrate fatherhood on this special event. The occasion started with a colouring activity and our tiny tots made elegant neck tie for the father followed by “My Dad is My Hero” photo session.
CHICKUBUKU CHICKUBUKU GOES THE TRAIN WITH OUR LITTLE SANIANS TO EXPLORE THE SCHOOL! It was a bright sunny and pleasant morning, when the Junior KG students were taken on a school tour around the school campus of San Academy, Tambaram. The children were issued fun tickets by their teachers to go on a jolly train ride guided by the co-teacher.
They visited the principal room followed by various special areas and colourful classrooms which were decorated with vibrant themes. They were thrilled to enter the play zone. It’s their favourite place in the school. The students were also introduced to school workers and teachers. The school tour day was filled with joy and happiness. Children are often gifted with sense of wonder and curiosity. As they walked around the school to explore the institution, their eyes dazzled with questions of how things are made and function. It was indeed a joyful day to be a part of this experience
Onam is a harvest festival in the state of Kerala. Students and teachers of San Academy celebrated Onam with greater joy. The impressive floral decorations and Pookolam took everyone into a world of festivity and fun. Fashion show was organised for Junior KG students. Our tiny tots were dressed in traditional Kerala attires and walked the ramp in style. Nursery and Senior KG students performed Kerala dance. Children enjoyed decorating beautiful paper boats and pookolam coasters.
We celebrated Navratri with great joy and vigour. All the students and teachers came in traditional dresses. All of them celebrated the days with joy and cheer. It was a colourful show with teachers joining the students enthusiastically in their dance.”
India has a vast and unique culture; every state has its own traditional sports. Teachers enlightened the children about the importance of traditional sports. Senior KG students had a fun filled day playing various traditional games like Kho-Kho, Kabadi, Bambaram, Gilli Dandu, Nondi, Thayam, Goat & Tiger. Snake & Ladder, Pallankuzhli. Children took home handmade four cups origami.
Teachers organised Zoo Animal Party day for Nursery students. Our tiny tots came dressed as different animals like lion, tiger, cheetah, horse, panda and elephant for the zoo party. They enacted with animal sounds. They also sang animal songs. Teachers arranged a play zoo and a play farm in the classroom filled with colourful animal toys and puppets. Children learnt to differentiate between the wild animals and the domestic animals. Teachers also taught them the names of animals and their young ones. Students enjoyed decorating the take home giraffe mask.
14.8.2019 Students and teachers of San Academy celebrated Independence Day with great pride to remember the day when India got freedom from the British rule and also to honour the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and our brave soldiers. The celebration started with the flag hoisting and the Principal spoke about the significance of the day .Various cultural programmes were performed by our tiny tots.
Nursery students came dressed up in vibrant Indian state costumes and danced to the music of ‘Jai Ho’’.Junior KG students danced to Bharathiyar Song and Patriotic Music.Senior KG students came dressed in beautiful Indian costumes danced elegantly.Students of Class I & II sang patriotic songs and gave speech about the Independence day
Puppetry stimulates imagination and creativity in children. It also boosts confidence in speaking in front of everyone and to interact, express and understand their emotions. Teachers organised Puppetry day for Nursery children. Our tiny tots came dressed up like prince and princess based on the characters from their favourite fairy tales. Puppet theatre was designed by the teachers to engage them with fun filled story session.
Krishna Jayanthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna.Teachers organised this event for the Kindergarten students of San Academy. All children came in traditional dresses. Our tiny tots came dressed up as Krishna and Radha.
Beautiful floral decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful.The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp by our Principal. Teachers briefed the children about Janmashtami. Senior KG students recited slogan. Children enjoyed breaking the decorated pots. One of our teachers amazed the students with a mesmerising silambam performance.Beautiful handmade flutes and Krishna Headgears were presented to the kids as a take home.
Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha.Teachers organised this event for the Kindergarten students of San Academy. All the children were dressed up traditionally. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event a memorable day. Celebration started with a speech by our school principal.Teachers briefed the children about Ganesh Chaturthi.Junior KG & Senior KG students chanted slogans and Nursery children performed a dance. One of our teachers sang bajan for kids.Beautiful handmade umbrella and rat crafts were presented to children as a take home.
