(RIDS - The Recognition of an International Dimension in Schools Programme)

The RIDS program is an annual program that schools endeavour to embed International Dimension to the School ethos through various curricular and collaborative projects.

‘Explore, Enrich and Exposure’ has always been the Vision of San Academy and now with the perspective of having Global exchange programs in our schools we are trying to offer numerous benefits to our students, teachers, and the broader community.

International Dimension in Schools supports schools that have shown a commitment to embedding international awareness and global citizenship within their class and school.

San Academy, Velachery has taken up RIDS - The Recognition of an International Dimension in Schools Programme for the year academic year 2024-25 as part of our global learning which will enable our students to develop a broader understanding of global issues, politics, and economies. The exchange program fosters independence, self-reliance, and confidence in our student.

Through this our students gain firsthand experience of different cultures and establish connections with peers from diverse backgrounds.

The students engage with new teaching methods, curricula, and educational systems. They gain specialized knowledge in specific subjects, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The Exchange programs provide access to new research facilities, equipment, and expertise. These programs prepare students for an increasingly globalized workforce.

This activity also benefits our teachers as they gain exposure to new teaching methods, technologies, and educational philosophies.

Schools can develop new curricula, courses, or programs based on international best practices.
